1. Operations Development Specialist – Executive Assistant to the GM / COO (dual role)
Universal Life is looking to hire an Operations Development Specialist – Executive Assistant to the General Manager /Chief Operating Officer (dual role) at its Head Offices in Nicosia. The position will be reporting to the General Manager / Chief Operating Office (GM/COO), with whom he/she will be working closely towards the implementation of the Operations’ division strategy and goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Make recommendations to the GM/COO in cooperation with Operations’ Department Heads, for the strategy and goals of the Operations Division, aiming at the continuous development and effectiveness of the Operations activities that contribute towards the Company’s strategic
- Develop business cases for new projects in the Operations Division and present them to management for approval.
- Implement projects in cooperation with Operation Division or other company departments.
- Prepare analyses and reports for the insurance operations to support decision making by the top
- Prepare analyses and presentations for the Senior Management Team and the Board of Directors, as assigned by the GM/
- Provide support to and guide teams in the Operations Division for developmental projects.
- Provide support to the GM/COO and perform any other related tasks assigned by the GM/
Requirements:
- A University degree, preferably in Actuarial Science, Finance, Business Management, Mathematics, Statistics or other related
- A Masters’ degree and/or a professional qualification will be considered an advantage.
- At least 2 years of related experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Experience in actuarial related work in life insurance business will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Competency in producing, analysing and interpretating numbers.
- Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English languages (written and oral).
- Experience in project management will be considered an advantage.

2. Program Manager – Position Profile
Universal Life is looking to hire a Program Manager at its Head Offices in Nicosia. The position will be reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Services and will be responsible for leading high-level program initiatives for the implementation of large-scale projects that support the Company’s vision and long-term strategic goals including the deployment of new technologies and systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Formulate, delegate and monitor inter-connected projects and initiatives that support program goals
- Develop and monitor program deadlines and budgets and identify key requirements needed
- Work closely with other business owners, project managers and cross-functional teams to provide direction on scope, deliverables, resources, and timeframes for new initiatives
- Liaise and communicate with vendors for any assignments that will need to be outsourced
- Manage change withing the Company and make interventions if required to ensure that program goals are achieved
- Identify, analyze and overcome program risks and provide support to resolve issues arising
- Assess program performance and prepare reports for senior management and other stakeholders
Requirements
- A University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other related A Masters’ degree in will be considered an advantage
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position and in the implementation of large-scale programs
- Knowledge of the insurance sector will be considered an advantage
- Project management knowledge and experience
- Advanced digital skills
- Good understanding of IT operations & new technologies
- Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English languages
