Job Overview
The role provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work on IFRS 17 implementation projects and apply actuarial skills on high-profile projects. In particular, the candidate will work on IFRS 17, Assurance, Reserving, Pricing, Risk and Capital projects across the Life and Non-Life insurance market, as well as multidisciplinary projects around areas such as transaction due diligence, analytics, strategic planning and transformation.
The candidate will have the opportunity to study towards the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or the Society of Actuaries qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead key aspects of IFRS 17 policy formulation, technology & process implementation, and operational project workstreams.
- Contribute to the direction of the overall IFRS 17 program.
- Be involved in other life and non-life insurance actuarial consulting projects.
- Work collectively with Fellow team members to ensure consistent application and implementation.
- Manage a challenging workload and ensure key deliverables are identified and prioritised.
- Work collaboratively with a broad range of actuarial and finance colleagues.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Main Degrees Subject area in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or related subject.
- Actuarial qualifications are required. Not necessarily a Fellow (qualified) Actuary.
- The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the Insurance business.
- Previous employment in life insurance company or auditing firm.
- Previous working experience and knowledge in IFRS17 implementation.
- Have good IT skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts to a senior audience.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in planning and delivering sophisticated projects.
- Experience in leading meetings, presentations and/or workshops.
- Willingness to travel.
