Accountant

We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated professional to join our team

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Responsible for booking journal entries, invoices and bank payments in the accounting system.
• Processing payments for expenses, taxes and company’s creditors via online banking and preparing bank reconciliations.
• Maintaining, monitoring and recording the petty cash of the Company.
• Monthly reconciliation of suppliers back to supplier’s statements.
• Preparation and submission of Quarterly VAT returns.
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and reconciling back to the accounting system.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and assist the Head of Finance & Accounting in the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Provide to the relevant authorities (tax, social insurance etc.) all reports required in a timely manner.
• Assist in developing more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Assist both internal and external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Assist in ad hoc reports and analysis required by the Head of Finance and Accounting.
• Execute and reconcile the payment of payroll for all the company employees
  

Requirements:

• University Degree in Accounting / Finance or similar. 
• Knowledge of Esoft will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail
  
• Ability to meet work-related deadlines
• Excellent computer literacy
• Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
