IT Manager

The Cyprus International Institute of Management, an innovative international business school in Cyprus, and equal opportunity employer, invites applications for the position of IT Manager.

Duties  and  responsibilities:

• Manage the overall information technology and computer systems of CIIM Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
• Identify and acting on opportunities to improve and update IT systems
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Audit systems and assets their outcomes
• Installs, maintains and upgrades computers, software, equipment, servers and othet related systems
• Ensures security of data network access and backup systems
• Provide support, assists and trains employees and students of CIIM regarding the use and functionality of various software systems or other related technologies
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
• Keeping abreast of technological developments and offering advice to the management on systems upgrading, improvement of services, reviewing offers and cost saving related to IT software and communications
• Overseeing and determining time frames for major IT projects including the transformation plans of the organisation
• Liaise with vendors for the supply and delivery of equipment, services, consumables, and maintenance of equipment
• Monitor and/or maintains the web pages

Requirements 

• Bachelor or Masters  in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems
• Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies will be considered an advantage
• Good knowledge of Python programming language will be considered an advantage
