Logistics Specialist

DAVA Holdings is seeking a highly versatile and skilled individual to fill the role of Logistics Specialist, who will be responsible for performing a combination of driving, moving, security, and courier duties. As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods, providing security measures, and delivering important documents or packages.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Driving:
  – Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including vans, to transport goods or equipment between locations.
  – Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practices at all times.
  – Plan efficient routes to optimize time and fuel consumption.
• Moving:
  – Assist with loading, unloading, and securing goods or belongings onto the vehicle.
  – Handle items with care to prevent damage during transport.
  – Use appropriate equipment, such as dollies, ramps, or straps, to facilitate the moving process
• Security:
  – Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard transported goods or equipment.
  – Conduct regular inspections to ensure the integrity of the cargo and identify potential risks or vulnerabilities.
  – Take appropriate actions to mitigate security threats or incidents, such as reporting suspicious activities or collaborating with relevant authorities.
• Courier:
  – Collect and deliver important documents, packages, or materials within specified timeframes.
  – Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, dates, and times.
  – Provide excellent customer service by handling inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintenance and Reporting:
  – Perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
  – Report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
  – Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.

Candidate Profile:

• Valid driver’s license. A clean driving record seen as an advantage;
• Experience in driving, moving, security, and courier services seen as advantage;
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety practices;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills;
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects;
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Flexibility to work in various environments and adapt to changing job requirements;
• Work on Weekends on rotation.
