Project Manager Position
at the Sustainable Energy Research Group, Frederick University
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day implementation of our diverse research projects. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation and success of SERG’s ongoing initiatives, facilitating collaboration across disciplines, and representing SERG at national and international forums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct day-to-day operations and implementation of research projects within the realms of sustainable energy, buildings, environment, and digitization.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet their objectives efficiently and effectively.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure targets are achieved.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
- Travel for project plenary meetings, workshops, and other relevant events to represent SERG and its interests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, environmental sciences, applied sciences, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in programming for data analysis and modelling relevant to energy and environmental research.
- Proven experience in the management of research or industry projects, with a preference for backgrounds in energy and
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving.
Salary:
Offering a salary range of €1,400 to €2,000 per month, gross, depending on the candidate’s experience.
About the Sustainable Energy Research Group (SERG):
Established in 2012 as a collaboration under Frederick University and the Frederick Research Center, SERG has rapidly grown into a hub of innovation and research excellence in the fields of sustainable energy, buildings, environment, and digitization. Boasting a record of over €5 million in funding, currently managing 14 Horizon and state-funded projects, and engaging 12 full-time researchers, SERG not only contributes significantly to scientific advancement but also offers pathways for academic growth, including PhD opportunities within the Engineering School.
