1. Business Strategy & Intelligence Advisor
Invest Cyprus (CIPA), the investment authority of the Government of Cyprus that is dedicated to attracting and facilitating foreign direct investment into the country, is seeking to recruit an Investment Promotion Associate for its offices in Nicosia.
The successful candidate will work closely with other colleagues and will provide support throughout the implementation of the agreed action plan for achieving results for the threefold mandate of the organisation: investment promotion, facilitation of investors and aftercare services.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Perform targeted research on companies/investors that have expressed interest in investing or relocating to the region to generate potential leads
- Manage the conduct of research and economic studies on certain industries and sectors of the economy or at a macroeconomic level, which are either performed internally or with the help of external consultants
- Execute analysis, develop and maintain databases, models and other business intelligence necessary for the purposes of business development, decision-making, setting and monitoring strategic priorities and KPIs (e.g. international business rankings, leads, GVA information etc.)
- Responsible for ensuring InvestCyprus is kept up to date with global and European market trends relating to foreign direct investment and business expansions
- Create various proposals that InvestCyprus puts forward to the Cypriot government, including the Cyprus Presidency and the various Ministries
- Represent InvestCyprus as a member of the steering group on strategic projects that shape the future of the Cyprus economy (e.g. Cyprus Long Term Strategy, Economic Diplomacy Strategy etc.). Responsible for developing and providing InvestCyprus’ input in these important country strategic initiatives
- Co-ordinate the InvestCyprus Regulatory Framework Committee which includes industry leaders
- Drive the execution of strategic initiatives and ensure their implementation across all business units (e.g. ESG, net zero, sustainable finance)
- Establish and maintain a strong network of contacts and relationships with various authorities and organisations as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake responsibilities for other key priority projects as assigned by the CEO
- Perform ad hoc due diligence of companies that come to contact with InvestCyprus, as well as review business plans of potential strategic projects
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or any other Business related field
- Minimum 6 years of prior experience in a similar role in a reputable organisation with exposure to international and/or corporate environment
- Prior experience in business strategy, investment promotion or related field
- Strong knowledge and ability to use MS Office applications
- Strategic and business mindset
- Strong analytical skills
- Critical thinking and ability to make good decisions based on judgment
- Ability to work efficiently both autonomously and also a member of a team
- Ability to think strategically and provide valuable insights for promoting investments and economic development.
- Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing
- Results-oriented person with keen attention to detail and high quality

2. Investment Promotion Associate

The successful candidate will work closely with other colleagues and will provide support throughout the implementation of the agreed action plan for achieving results for the threefold mandate of the organisation: investment promotion, facilitation of investors and aftercare services.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the organization’s promotional and awareness activities, including participation in events abroad with other associations and investors
- Participate in meetings as assigned by the Management / CEO and cooperate closely with other units within the organization
- Be involved with the creation of specialized content for promotional targets and branding material
- Prepare presentations as required based on each sector/department and on the subject/topic of each conference
- Be actively and continuously involved with the organization of events / conferences
- Communicate with the organizations/authorities in the public and private sectors as per the requirements and needs of InvestCyprus
- Provide support to the various Units / Departments of the organization
- Organize and coordinate internal webinars / events / appreciation events
- Prepare official letters addressed to organizations/authorities in the public and private sectors, as assigned by the CEO
- Be actively involved in the relevant committees and cooperate with colleagues in relation to the creation of new incentives / schemes as submitted/proposed to the Government
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the CEO
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and/or in Law, Finance, Economics, or any other relevant field and/or a recognized Accounting Professional Qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA)
- Minimum 3 years of prior experience in a similar role in business development and/or investment promotion in a reputable organisation with exposure to international or corporate environment
- Strong strategic and business mindset
- Strong knowledge and ability to use MS Office applications
- Ability to work efficiently both autonomously and also a member of a team

3. Investment Promotion Advisor

Main Job Responsibilities:
- Undertake research initiatives to identify and develop investment opportunities.
- Assists in the development of a targeted and focused investment strategy for each priority sector to attract foreign direct investment into Cyprus
- Organize and participate in B2B meetings, in Cyprus or abroad, with potential investors and related stakeholders
- Identify leads and maintain follow-up actions to increase the level of potential foreign direct investment from target countries
- Organise and execute site visits of potential investors including logistical and business aspects
- In coordination with the team, lead business development efforts in assigned/specific sectors and geographies through the targeting of high-profile corporations and high net worth individuals
- Develop an international network of current and potential contacts within each sector to facilitate introduction to potential foreign investors
- Building alliances with public and private sector stakeholders to create a strong network, necessary to launch a well- organized and targeted promotion in strategic markets
- Assisting with the development of branding and marketing material in physical or digital form (leaflets, brochures, websites, videos, other publications) for the promotion of strategic sectors in key geographies
- Participate at Ministerial Technical Committees for addressing and outlining parameters to enhance investment promotion in strategic sectors
- Managing costs effectively and optimizing the utilisation of all available resources through a carefully planned promotional budget
- Actively participate in the budgeting process by delivering plans and budgets for the proposed events/sectors
- Monitor the investment environment in competing countries/territories and suggest improvements by collecting, analysing and sharing market intelligence
- Enhance technical knowledge on topics such as taxation, funds industry, legal, immigration etc. and keep up with latest developments concerning the investment landscape
- Draft and review MoU’s with various stakeholders and other promotion Agencies
- Handle any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Management
Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and/or in Law, Finance, Economics, or any other relevant field and/or a recognized Accounting Professional Qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA)
- (Master’s degree preferred).
- 6-8 years of experience in a similar role in business development and/or investment promotion in a reputable organisation with exposure to international or corporate environment
- Strong strategic and business mindset
- Strong knowledge and ability to use MS Office applications
- Ability to work efficiently both autonomously and also a member of a team
- Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
