Mediterra: Ζητείται Part Time Accountant – Λευκωσία
The Position:
Our company is growing fast and therefore is looking to recruit a Part Time Accountant in our new offices in Strovolos, Nicosia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Accounting Books and records including preparing and posting bank payments and receipts, sales and supplier invoices, petty cash transactions and accounting journals.
- Maintaining cash book and other registers on excel and downloading/ scanning supporting documentation.
- Referencing supporting documentation and uploading onto our E-soft accounting system.
- Carrying out monthly bank reconciliations and accounts analysis.
- Preparing bank payment transfers.
- Preparation of VAT and VIES returns.
- Assisting in preparation of files for the year-end audit and liaising with the External Auditor
- Preparation of Payroll and Social Insurance returns.
Skills/ Qualifications / Experience:
- Degree in Accounting or LCCI Higher Diploma or equivalent
- Good computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Accounting Programs (knowledge of E-soft will be considered as an advantage).
- Excellent command of English and Greek (primary language), both spoken and written.
- Good people and organisational skills.
- Between 3-5 years relevant experience as a minimum.
- Experience in Payroll preparation will be considered as an advantage.
- Self-motivated, energetic with attention to detail
- Must be already resident and legally entitled to work in Cyprus.
