CCRI: Ζητείται Project Officer – Λευκωσία

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the CCRI in the position of Project Officer.

The CCRI is a newly founded not-for-profit organisation based in Nicosia, Cyprus that aspires to become a world-class interdisciplinary research institute operating within a network of leading clinical and academic partners, namely the University of Cyprus (UCY), the Karaiskakio Foundation (KF) and the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre (BOCOC). The CCRI promotes excellence in the field of cancer research and in the development and utilisation of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches with the aim of improving the survival and quality of life of patients with cancer. Our mission is to promote high calibre cancer research in Cyprus and to breed the next generation of leading cancer researchers.

Reports To:

The position is funded by the HORIZON-CSA “ECHoS” project, and the successful candidate will be under the supervision of Dr. Anastasia Constantinidou, the leading researcher for CCRI in ECHoS.

Job Overview

The successful applicant will have a supporting role for the activities related to the smooth operation of the Research Support Office and will be responsible for the project administration/coordination for the ECHoS project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the financial and technical reporting, ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Participating in scheduled meetings/webinars set by the ECHoS partners
  • Ensuring effective communication with participating partners
  • Ensuring all project documentation is properly organized and stored
  • Aiding the organization of associated research dissemination/networking events at CCRI
  • Contribute to the execution of project management in related projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of oral and written Greek and English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree will be considered an advantage
  • Previous experience in a cancer research/academic institution or team
  • Previous experience in grant proposal management and/or administration

Employment Type:  

Employment Type: Fixed term contract for a total of 15 months (until the end of the project) with the possibility of extension subject to funding availability.

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus
Remuneration: The annual gross salary is €22,000
