Architect (on-site)
J & A Philippou Architects Engineers LLC are seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic associate on-site Architect to join their team of professionals on ‘’a provision-of-services temporary contract’’.
The Architect shall offer services to J & A Philippou Architects Engineers LLC for a specific grandiose project (on-site in Limassol) for one-year period, with possible extension for further periods according to the needs of the project. Services shall be offered for 5-days per week, for an approximately 40 hours per week. Applicants residing in Limassol will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- work as part of the Project Management Team.
- assist and report to the Senior Architect on site.
- assist with arrangements for liaison meetings, negotiations, communications, and correspondence with local authorities (Town Planning Department, CTO, Municipality, Public Works Department, Ministry of Interior, etc.) as required.
- review drawings and applications as required for the purposes of this project.
- collaborate with consultants on site.
- provide reviews and comments on drawing packages produced by the Lead Architect (LA), the Main Contractor and the suppliers, based on the Technical Design report and guidelines which the LA produced.
- Construction Phase – Coordination with the Project Management Team; Coordination of structural, MEP and other consultants; Provision of technical information regarding local contractors, sub-contractors, Assistance and support the Client during tender evaluations; Review of shop drawings from the Main Contractor / Sub-contractors / Suppliers.
- Perform any other tasks requested by J & A Philippou Architects Engineers LLC, under their capacity as Architects of Record for this project.
Job requirements
- Holder of a recognised degree in architecture
- Member of ETEK
- Proven experience of at 5-10 years and expertise in architectural studies, supervision and project management
- Excellent use of AutoCAD
- Excellent use of 2D/3D programmes as well as creation of photorealistic illustrations
- Adherence to schedules/timeframes
- Flexibility in design and fluency in composition
- Organisational skills, planning, taking initiatives
- Communication and critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities
- Good knowledge of urban planning regulations and other relevant legislation
- Team spirit
- Fluency in both Greek and English
